For all buyers of the new Optane 900r SSD line, Intel is giving away an exclusive starship model that you can try right after the release of the alpha version 3.0 of the StarCitizen online game developed by Cloud Imperium Games.
Intel works closely with the team at Roberts Space Industries and Cloud Imperium Games, the developers behind StarCitizen. With the release of the new line of Optane solid state hard drives, the company has announced a special promotion for customers. The offer includes an exclusive very powerful ship for this game that will not be available anywhere else.
The new Intel Optane 900P line is an extension of SSD technology that deviates significantly from traditional DRAM memory technology and uses fast NAND memory with a denser, state-independent storage format.
According to the marketing materials, this helped to overcome the technical barriers to increasing the speed and reliability of data storage technologies.
The 480 GB version of the Optane 900P SSD will cost $979 (about 56,000 rubles), and the 280 GB version will cost $569 (about 33,000 rubles). Both products come with a gift for an early alpha version of the StarCitizen universe. The user is given a free exclusive Saber Raven starship, an upgraded version of the existing Aegis Saber medium sized ship previously available for purchase on the StarCitizen website.
The original Aegis Saber was previously available on StarCitizen for around $170-$185, but is no longer available. One version of the ship is currently on sale on eBay for about $200.
Roberts Space Industries (RSI), a subsidiary of Cloud Imperium Games, noted that the latest developments being implemented in the Optane lineup will withstand the heavy data workload involved in the grandiose world of StarCitizen.
"Our engineers are deployed all over the world… imagine how much information needs to be processed to create a planet with real dimensions in the solar system, and there are a lot of such planets in our universe," said Carl Jones, director of operations at RSI.< /p>
"When Intel told us about the new technology, about how close the speeds of storage and RAM https://jiji.co.ke/fedha/houses-apartments-for-rent were, it became clear that we would be able to enable more grandiose things in the game that would make the game much more interesting."
According to Jones, the extremely high performance of Intel’s new SSD drive will give gamers the best gaming experience. "The game provides a lot of content to the player and it’s extremely important that streaming to disk is as fast as possible."
The StarCitizen project was conceived as a big-budget AAA game with an open online world for travel and massive battles. Currently, more than $163 million has already been collected for its development from almost 2 million players. It was originally conceived as a single-player game called Squadron 42, the spiritual successor to the Wing Commander franchise.
